Interesting -- I enjoyed his comments about the differences between playing alto and tenor. Centuries (or so it now seems) ago, I played clarinet, and found the bass clarinet easier to play than the B-flat "licorice stick," probably for somewhat similar reasons. Your asking him about favorite tracks was a great idea; I am looking forward to looking some of them up!
Snidero's really been on a roll recording wise. Any one of his recent releases would be considered "special" if only all of them weren't equally great. Sadly, someone hitting their peak at mid-career isn't as newsworthy as a young person with a new recording. Thank you too Jim for putting Cleveland on your touring schedule, it's always a delight to get to hear you in person.
I love stuff like that where there are suggestions of what to listen to.. I’m not a musician just a player but I was wondering why Sonny Fortune wasn’t listed by Jim

Jim and you must know something that I don’t
Nothing deeper than an oversight on the part of the interviewer -- I was just thinking off the top of my head. Many others omitted by happenstance
