Ethan, Cleveland Watkiss (Jamaican singer in UK) recorded ‘Goodbye’ on his early CD (Green Chimneys): it’s part of a trilogy called “To a songstress“. The pianist (either Simon Purcell or Jason Rebello) was lovely.
Watkiss was featured in The Wire Magazine around 1989. South African drummer Brian Abrahams is on drums. Thought this might be of interest. I posted a link to the trilogy which includes 'Goodbye' above.
Great photo :)

Milt Jackson With Hubert Laws – Goodbye (1974)
(Ron Carter, Gadd (Cobham), C Walton, Hubbard)
I love the recording of "Goodbye" on Keith Jarrett and Charlie Haden's "Jasmine." There's also a version on their later album "Last Dance."
Two of the very finest songs. Definitive for me: Mabel Mercer’s “So in Love” & Sinatra’s “Goodbye” (check Riddle’s bassoons).

I'd be there if I was in better shape. Sounds wonderful.
Bobo Stenson did a beautiful version of Goodbye on the album of the same name (w/Paul)
