I have several Denk recordings that I love, and I was engrossed by his memoir. Fun to see two of my favorite pianists crossing paths! BTW, even though I have pretty much retired from reviewing, I often get unexpected CDs in the mail, and I believe (yes, I'm getting old and progressively more addle-brained) one of them included someone's performance of the Concord Sonata. I guess I'll have to dig around and see whether I can find that one so I can give it a listen, having read your enthusiastic review. So many CDs, so little time... ;-)

yes, I thought the Denk memoir was fabulous. I should write about after a re-read
