Thanks to all who came out to the Village Vanguard last week to hear this new trio with Thomas Morgan and Kush Abadey. We had a blast! (Special thanks to guest star Marcus Gilmore, who played Tuesday.)
A lot came into focus over the course of the sets. While we are playing several Iverson originals, we are also digging into standard repertoire from Horace Silver, Duke Ellington, David Raksin, Harold Arlen, and so forth. We are looking forward to the upcoming 18 shows across Europe. Say hi if you come to the gig!

It looks like there are more clubs dedicated to jazz in Europe than in the USA. Is that accurate? Maybe there are just as many venues in the USA, but they don’t have “jazz” in their name. Could you do a similar tour in North America? Could jazz musicians do a tour of college campuses in the USA at this point, or am I living in the 1950s?
Travel safely. Enjoy!
