Starting tonight, we are at the club. Nice blurb in the New Yorker:
Down the road, I'll be accompanying Mark Padmore in “Winterreise" on May 3 at Town Hall. The event was written up in the NY Times this past weekend and it seems like everyone already knows about it.
It’s kind of a special series, where the concerts are notably inexpensive even when the performers are big stars like Mark Padmore. I played this piece a few times with Padmore many years ago, it went pretty well then, but I’m certain my accompaniment will be much better now. I don’t usually feel the need to advertise a gig in May during the previous October but this is a special situation, it might sell out very soon.
