TT 140: A week out from release
The first review from George Kanzler in The NYC Jazz Record had a good pull quote: “Iverson’s command is extraordinary; he has mastered the art of never playing too much while fully realizing a complete musical world. Every note and chord he plays resonates fully, illuminating the pieces.”
James Hale also gave a nice notice in SoundStage. “It seemed inevitable that Iverson would, one day, find his way to Blue Note Records—both because of the label’s legacy as a home for creative artists and because he seems to be the kind of quirky polymath that Blue Note head Don Was loves.”
I’ve had a good time rehearsing the NEC Jazz Orchestra. We are going to have a lot of fun next week. Monday: Boston. Friday, Brooklyn. See you there!
