I just finished reading Oceans of Time and wanted to share my gratitude: what a great collaboration, what an extraordinary life, and the book is a treasure trove!
I asked them the same question and they (presumably the director) that there are no plans for streaming, which seems incredibly short sighted or poor planning. However, she said they would be selling DVDs, which I find odd because most people don’t watch that way anymore. Someone, maybe you Ethan, needs to talk to them.
I have no details! But distribution deals can be hard to come by, especially for documentaries about obscure jazz figures. And, as far as I understand it, there are countless documentaries that never see more than a modest and "local" DVD release. It is what it is...although I certainly wish BUD LIVES! the very best.

I have to think she could get a deal with Amazon. Based on my exchanges with her it doesn’t sound like she has tried.
