Business Blast
+ links and a quick review of Blake Crouch
Trio tour starts tonight.
A movie that I particularly dislike, Easy Rider, gets put in its place by Tobias Sturt.
Sophie of The Final Scene writes a compelling think piece: “Effortless Privilege: Jeremy Strong, Kieran Culkin, and the Cost of Caring Too Much.”
Jeffrey Sultanof looks at the Philo Vance movies starring William Powell.
Vince Keenan reads Christa Faust and Laura Lippmann.
Just finished my second Blake Crouch science fiction novel, Dark Matter. Previously I enjoyed Recursion. Both books are excellent and in a similar style; Crouch has found his way into a fresh identity and a new way of telling SF. Recommended.
Dark Matter is also a popular TV series made with Crouch’s involvement. FWIW, I suggest that people who like to read books stay away from the show (including the trailer) and just start in with the novel. The surprises are part of the fun.

Just ordered Dark Matter. And some Cixin Liu. With your help, I will become a SF reader in 2025.
Not a question of liking or disliking Easy Rider. It and its doppelganger, Charlie Daniels UnEasy Rider https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EJrRwTTqm0o is pretty much key to understanding the contradictory Pynchonian amalgam of flotsam that is MAGA.
